assists with art education, raises money for
community-based cultural events, and
provides HIV/AIDS awareness and prevention
education as well as support programs.
Mission
It is the mission of ATH to encourage cultural
literacy in the Rio Grande Valley by promoting
the arts, and to use the arts to help bring an
end to the AIDS epidemic.
About The Name
Our name represents our focus on art
therapy, specifically, as well as the concept
that experiencing art is relaxing, enjoyable,
and can have healing affects, whether in the
production of or in the enjoyment of various
art forms.
ATH Audience

of the Rio Grande Valley and deep South
Texas, namely in Starr, Hidalgo, Cameron,
Willacy and Zapata Counties by encouraging
an appreciation for the arts and cultural

artists, such as painters, sculptors, potters,
dancers, singers, writers, actors, and
musicians. We also serve people living with
AIDS, their friends and families, and their
caretakers.
